February 16, 2011

Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) has just updated their Price to Compare effective April 1 2011 from 10.16 cents per kilowatt-hour to 9.99 cents per kilowatt hour.  The PECO Price to Compare represents the amount a typical residential customer would be charged by PECO for a single kilowatt-hour of electricity used.  The purpose of the price to compare is to allow consumers to evaluate offers from competitive electricity suppliers on an equal basis.

Note that pricing on Alphabuyer’s current competitive offer in the PECO region has not changed – currently the offer is open to enrollment, and is priced at 8.85 cents per kilowatt-hour. approximately 11.4% savings over PECO’s new price to compare.
