Peco Customers: Switch to Natural Gas and take advantage of record low prices and thousands of dollars in rebates!

As we mentioned in the last blog post, natural gas prices are at record lows. To take advantage of these savings, customers can choose to make natural gas their primary source of heating. Here are the current natural gas rebate programs, which you may be eligible for even if you have existing gas service from Peco.

No gas service:

• Convert to natural gas and install a natural gas heating system: $400 rebate
• Get an energy efficient boiler or furnace: $300 rebate

Existing gas service:

• Install a natural gas heating system (if not currently using gas for heating): $800 rebate
• Get an energy efficient boiler or furnace: $300 rebate

Here are some benefits of natural gas:

• Natural gas ranges give more control over cooking temperature
• Natural gas fireplace easier to maintain compared to wood- also less pollutants
• Natural gas water heater heats works faster, less costly to operate compared to other fuel sources
• Natural gas dryer cheaper to operate, better on clothing
• Natural gas generator can power home in blackout
• Natural gas grill more convenient, less pollutants than charcoal grills
• And of course…cost. Natural gas has consistently stayed lower compared to propane and heating oil
